Mrs. B. Malini Mallya is the President of Shivarama Karantha Research Institute, Saligrama, Udupi District, Karnataka.Shivarama Karanth's stray articles edited by Malini Mallya were published by Mangalore University in 8 volumes from 1993 to 1995. Total number of articles published in these volumes is 850.
The new volume published in 2010 contains 96 articles { kannada- 90, english-6 ] Mrs. Malini Mallya is editing three more volumes of articles written by Shivarama Karanth. Total number of aricles written by Shivarama Karanth may exceed 1000.
Profiles of Deraje Sitaramaiyya,Manjaiyya Heggade, K. G. Shastri, Simpi Linganna, K. V. Aiyyar, G. P. Rajaratnam,Shamba Joshi, Baikadi Venkatakrishna Rao ,Honnaiyya Shetty and others are in the first section. Mandodari[ Drama Review ] published in Swadeshabhimani {22-4- 1932 } is interesting. In'Yestesto Varshgala Balika' { written in 1996 }Karanth recollects his mother ..Karanths' article about Basel Mission is one of the important articles in the second section.Karanths' interviews are published in this section. The third section contains articles on education and arts.
Articles in the fourth section give us a glimse of Karanth's rational thinking.Two Forwards' written by Karanth to Pro. Sripati Tantri's books { Sanutana Dharma Darshana-1993; Sristi,Pralaya maru Sristi-1995 }are important to understand Karanth's worldview.Karanth's articles about contemporary politics are published in the fifth section of this book.Articles discussing subjects related to economics are in the sixth section.Karanth's article on misuse of atomic energy is in the seventh section.
